Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 is a Pragmatic Play fishing-theme slot with fisherman wilds, a pumpkin pick before the bonus, and free spins. The game page lists an RTP of 96.50%. This article converts that figure into peso amounts and shows what one demo sample of 999 paid spins did and did not show.

What the official page says

The Pragmatic Play game page lists the following points. We checked it on 17 October 2026.

  • RTP 96.50% under Basic Game Info.
  • 3, 4 or 5 scatters trigger the bonus with 10, 15 or 20 free spins. When two scatters land, there is a random chance that more scatters appear to trigger the feature.
  • Before the bonus, the player picks from six pumpkins to reveal up to five possible feature modifiers. These add more wilds, money symbols or free spins, start the round at the second multiplier level, or raise the chance that the feature activates.
  • During the feature, fisherman wilds collect the fish money symbols that land on the same spin, with values of up to 1,000x.
  • Every fourth wild retriggers the feature with 10 more free spins and an increasing win multiplier.

What the 96.50% RTP means in pesos

At 96.50%, the expected loss is 3.5 centavos for every peso staked. The table below is our calculation from that figure. It is a long-run average, not a prediction for one session.

Bet per spin Spins Total staked Expected return Expected loss (our calculation)
PHP 10 300 PHP 3,000 PHP 2,895.00 PHP 105.00
PHP 20 300 PHP 6,000 PHP 5,790.00 PHP 210.00
PHP 50 100 PHP 5,000 PHP 4,825.00 PHP 175.00
PHP 20 1,000 PHP 20,000 PHP 19,300.00 PHP 700.00

The loss rate per peso is the same in every row. A bigger stake or more spins raises the total expected loss, but it does not change the rate.

Why one session can move far from the average

In our demo sample, the standard deviation of the win per spin was about 5.1 times the bet. For a PHP 10 bet over 300 spins, that gives a rough session standard deviation of about PHP 877 (our approximate calculation: 10 × 5.064 × √300). The expected loss in the same row is PHP 105. The gap is large because a few big spins drive the result, and the figure comes from one sample.

Our demo sample of 999 paid spins

We recorded 999 paid spins from the official Pragmatic Play demo server, at 2.00 demo units per spin, from the raw server responses. No real money was used. The run stopped at 999 recorded paid spins against a target of 1,000; we did not chase the last one. The results were:

  • 88.1% of spins (880 of 999) returned nothing.
  • 4.8% (48 spins) returned less than the stake.
  • 5.3% (53 spins) returned 1x to 5x, and 0.9% (9 spins) returned 5x to 20x.
  • 0.9% (9 spins) returned 20x to 100x. No spin returned more than 100x.
  • The largest single-spin return was 75.4x the stake.
  • Any return occurred on 11.9% of spins. The feature was reported on 8 spins (0.8%).
  • The sample return was 62.65%, with an approximate 95% interval of 31.3% to 94.1%.
Bar chart of 999 demo paid spins grouped by return band: 88.1% returned nothing, 4.8% returned less than the stake, and 5.3% returned 1x to 5x
Our chart from the 999-spin demo sample. It is a tabulation of one sample, not an RTP test.

The approximate 95% interval does not include the official 96.50%. We do not read that as proof the published figure is wrong. One sample of 999 spins with a long tail cannot test an RTP, and the interval is a rough approximation. The sample also reported only 8 feature spins, which is far too few to estimate how often the pumpkin bonus or the retriggers arrive.

What this does not tell you

  • Demo results are not a guarantee of how the same game behaves with real money.
  • The official page does not give hit frequency, a maximum win figure for the base game or the full paytable. This article does not fill those gaps.
  • The price of each pumpkin modifier is not shown on the page, so we do not calculate the cost of the pumpkin choice.
  • Check the stake range and bonus options in the game information of the operator you use.
